Dora Mojzes
I am a custome designer from Budapest, Hungary with extensive experience in both Fashion and Costume Design and Production. What sets me apart from my peers is that I can contribute and communicate both with front-end Creative leadership and back-end production and planning – from sourcing and budgeting to sketching and mood-boards and everything inbetween. I have been in the Apparel industry for over 20+ years, with my formal education beyond that focusing on technical apparel skills such as pattern cutting, color and material science and Accessories production. I have started my career with launching my own brand, which gave me the experience to work with larger scale production facilities and business management. My brand has been favored by Juliette Lewis, Toni Braxton and Tyra Banks, and my work has been featured in multiple international publications such as Vogue. I have soon moved to production styling and costume design with the emphasis on highly theatrical and expressive projects, as my creative process involves a lot of references from science fiction and the works of H.R. Griger. Lately I have been working with Jacquelin West as her Assistant for Dune part 2, where I have been responsible for creative concept work, design of costumes and sample-shop production management ( incl. procurement of materials and special effects). Other projects I am proud of include costume design for the internationally acclaimed Contemporary Ballett production of “Concerto” by Szegedi Kortars Balett, directed by Tamas Juronics. I believe that what I offer is unique because I provide an essential bridge between the Creative leadership team and the production / sample workshops, that ultimately contributes to the efficiency and timeliness of any project. I am also available to travel and work worldwide and can be flexible with timelines and locations as needed.
